KobbyJay is a young music entrepreneur, performing artist and a song writer. Whose full names are Magaji Gideon. Also a student at the kaduna state polytechnic.

-HOW HAS THE JOURNEY BEEN?

So far so good, it's not been easy but then nothing good comes easy right.

-KADUNA AND SOUTHERN KADUNA HAVE A LITTLE APPRECIATION FOR HOME GROWN MUSIC ACCORDING TO THE STATISTICS , HOW TRUE IS THAT AND WHAT IS THE WAY FORWARD?

I think music is good business and also has much influence on the youths, everyone infact, appreciation for home grown artists can be much better than it's current degree. I think the government and the people of kaduna at large should take music more Paramount and get involved, funding and in other ways, music could generate revenue and reduce the level of joblessness in the society.

- HOW HAS MUSIC FUNDING BEEN?

To be honest, it has not been easy. To get your work done and broadcasting it costs a lot, and it's a jungle out here, everyone wants to make money. You want your songs on air you pay, you want a DJ to play your song? You pay, you want a kind of proper broadcast or publicity? You pay.

But it's most pleasing to know that there are people in the system that actually help, I mean they could do stuff for the passion and love for the music industry here in kaduna.

-YOU’VE BEEN  ON THE BACKGROUND FOR A WHILE,WHAT HAVE BEEN HAPPENING ALL THIS YEARS?

For a while true I have been on the low, I didn't really start recording or doing songs then, I was more of a hype man and an event promoter.

But music has always been the reason I started the entertainment gig. And now I think am all in, I've got songs rocking the airwaves.

-AND NOW YOU ARE BACK WITH A BIG STATEMENT,LETS TALK ABOUT THE NEW PROJECT,CRAZY DANCER ,LETS TALK ABOUT  IT,

Crazy dancer is a piece, a magical piece. After recording it I had to play it over and over again, and actually thought to myself, Mhen you owe people good music and with this you are already paying off.

It's high time we take our sound to the next level here in kaduna. Crazy dancer is the next level and if you haven't listened to it, please do.

-HOW WILL YOU RATE THE MUSIC SCENE IN THE NORTH AND IN 5 YEARS WHERE WILL YOU BE?

The music scene here in the north is full of potentials and has everything to produce more influential artist worldwide, people need to invest more over here there is need for funds and platforms.

In 5years from now, I will be at the peak of the music industry as far as Africa is concerned.

Will be pulling the worldwide stunt by then already, the only way to go is ahead.
